She also encourages listeners to create boundaries that they can enforce such as requiring a request to be submitted 30 days in advance. Practice owners should also consider a list of probable “consequences” for excessive absenteeism. Finally, Bethany reminds listeners that compassion is critical in handling this trend, but boundaries are just as important.
